Joaquim Jorge Marques

Joaquim Jorge Marques is an Assistant Professor in the Drawing Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto, and a collaborative researcher of i2ADS - Institute for Research in Art Design and Society. He holds a PhD in Art and Design at the University of Porto, with the thesis " The process as a circumstance of drawing. Contributions to the study of experimental process models,” (2015). Major research interests approach the notion of drawing process as a viable means of reasoning and ideation. As an artist, Marques explores the idea of limit in the expression and language of drawing and of processes conventionally associated with painting and photography.
